About Limcroma

Who we are.

Limcroma is in the malaria free area of the Limpopo province.  You can drive and you can even fly here as  this unique facility is only 300 km from Gauteng.

The name is derived from the first letters in the name of the three rivers that come together on the farm; The Limpopo, the Crocodile and the Marico rivers, which forms a natural border between South Africa and Botswana.

Limcroma’s unique location situated near the intersection of the three rivers provides the opportunity to hunt both the bushveld and the jungle.  The quality and abundance of game is outstanding.

Although Limcroma has been in operation for a number of succesful years, it opened its hunting area to the South African market in 2018.  The hunting areas range from flat open thorn veld savannah, open grassland, rocky hills, densely wooded bush and riverine bush and the hunting concession covers approximately 5570 hectares of land.

Hunting Season

Hunting is mainly done from March to October which tends to be cool and dry. Day time temperatures will vary. Generally speaking a warm jacket would be needed at night however during the day temperatures can reach 26°C.

Most of the animals are naturally propagated and free to roam, breed and mature without even knowing that they are within a fenced property.  The plants, bird and wildlife are all part of an Eco-system that is conserved and honoured by sustainable utilisation principles, creating a unique sight-seeing opportunity for all to experience and enjoy.  Part of the hunting fees are used to help conserve, manage and maintain the wildlife population.  Therefore passive capturing of live animals as well as the most ecotourism friendly way of rifle hunting and bow hunting is practised in a responsible way.
